Yeah, it is cool that your hull numbers are so close together. B) Also of interest is that the model designation is a "D" instead of an "A" . I think that letter is most likely to note that you guys have the Deluxe model with back to back seats. I wonder what the standard model would have as a designation, possibly an "A" or even an "X". :dry:

Note: the plant designation of "A". I used to believe that meant the "A" in Santa Ana but I have now come to think that back when there was only one plant and they were considering a second, it might have meant "A" as in the first plant. By that system, the second plant would be a "B", then "C" and so on. But somebody decided later to use a more descriptive letter, ( "W" for example as the plant in Olympia, Washington). However the "A" remained as the designation for the original plant in Santa Ana at least during the early years of production. Eventually it may have been changed to the letter "C" for California? :unsure:
