Asking for quotes on Terry's profile dimensions for original window molding. 25-ft in white. Requested and received two quotes so far:

1. Accurate Products: Custom order = $2,000.00

2. Cardinal Rubber & Seal: Have existing profile that is close (see mark-up pic). $72.00 for 25-ft = $2.88/ft. Only comes in black.

Would these dimensions work?

George

Hey George,

I thought the custom job would be way up there.

The Cardinal profile would probably work and be a better fit than the Wefco 1116G.

The width at 1/2” vs 19/32” will fit loosely in the channel and of course the color is not original.

What really bugs me is that I’d bet Wefco has the correct die. Its sitting on a shelf top way in the back of the shop and covered with rubber dust so nobody can find it.

Thanks,
Terry

"George please post this for me as I still can’t.

Left is new, center is front bridge window, right is side bridge window. Would not have thought two different moldings would be used.

Feel free to add anything you wish

Thanks
Jack"

Jack,

Hard to tell from the camera angle but your new stuff does not look like the profile of the 1116G.
Can you take the exact dimensions?

Your center piece looks like the 3723 and the end one looks like the 3722.

Thanks,
Terry

Jack,

As I mentioned earlier I talked to a guy that used the 3723 on all the windows and was satisfied with the results. I actuall have a sample and considered using it. Part of the problem I see is first it is not flat on the bottom and then you got the flaps on the one side that will be exposed on the side glass.

Do you have the dimensions of the profile that Wefco sent you and curious if you have contacted them?

I have been in contact with another guy that is trying to get rub rail for his early Avalon.
He called Wefco and was told:
"You have bad information. Wefco was not the original supplier. We have made the after market replacements using customer samples or drawings." - Pete from Sales.
So I gave him the picture and catalog page that –JR posted on his Avalon and suggested he talk to Robin.

Thanks,
Terry
Im gonna go and hit my head on the wall now.
