Added pics on John's behalf to his earlier post. Allowed pic size is considerably smaller since the site has been reworked. I'm sure Michael will fix this when he is able. Here's John's pics of his controller:

I like it! :) If you are going to retro-style your newer outboard, then adding vintage decals and labels is the way I think it looks best. Good job.

Great job, that cowl really is sharp, you certainly have an eye detail as well as an imagination.

George and JR...and adding Jack too.....
Thanks a million for the compliments, and George, thanks for posting the pics. I'll have more on the boat restoration later on. My restore was not as in depth some of the masterpieces I see in the GOA, but the comments and guidance I get from members are invaluable. My marina mechanic tells me "he has 500 boats at the Marina and all everyone does is talk about my little red one!" I think a heck of a lot of people are yearning for the bygone days of these boats and things like it. I have an old diesel Mercedes 300D, an old Martin guitar and an old Timex wind up watch. I wouldn't trade any of them

Enjoy the week guys. Pretty soon we'll be putting them in the water up here on Long Island

Great work Fitzy, I sure enjoy reading and seeing what some people can do restoring Glasspar Boats.
