Yeah, it looks like an Avalon to me. The boat pictured has the early hull design with the late model windshield which would make it (SWAG) a '58, '59, or '60. :)

Somebody should save it for sure. Too bad it is so far away.

C'mon Jerry, you trying to push my guilt button :P

I decided to keep my 1972 Boston Whaler because it is so easy for me launch off our little ramp, it only takes inches of water to float it, and I run a 1/4 mile to the crab grounds, pull my traps, and am eating fresh crab half hour later....

With the Seafair and the whaler, I am out of parking space and an understanding wife :P

BTW, we had a Avalon, she loved it, nice smooth ride, but.......

Ray, I know that problem very well. I have two on trailers and one in the shed (boats that is, not wives). Even so I keep looking for another one (boat I mean), sigh.

you need to have AT LEAST 3 boats to stay in sufficient trouble !!!

it's close enough to me i was going to volunteer to run down and take a look at it until i read that it is I/o.

strictly outboards for me anymore, my tolerance for i/o's in salt water is long gone.

This is a story short about "IF". If I was a few years younger and had a ranch with a huge barn and about 10 acres and some $$$$$$, I would buy all theses orphan Glasspar Boats and give some T L C and give them a good home like a Glasspar "G3-named the SOS, that I remember. It makes me sick when I read about a Glasspar boat being neglected.
